The Master of Business Administration programme at Ilahia School of Management Studies is designed to provide the knowledge, attitude and skills that are essential to become an effective leader in multitude of organizational settings. We emphasis on the holistic development of the students and the course work is designed to inculcate a positive and ethical outlook to the students. We also have regular interaction sessions with leaders and practicing managers from leading business enterprises, workshops and seminars with participation of visiting faculties. Ilahia School of Management Studies have a dedicated academic council which is passionate about creating future leaders for business and society. We have adopted a pedagogy that focuses on learn-share-practice principle. We provide them an environment that enables the young mind with strong foundation in content and the right kind of competencies.
Ilahia School of Managemnt Studies believe in delivering active learning experience through an interactive learning process based on a principle of “Blended Learning”. Blended learning focus on – use of best possible method of delivering, keeping in mind the complexity of topic and students competency to learn. This Blended learning helps in understanding and learning of regular curriculum in an innovative & effective manner. The range of teaching and learning methods used at Ilahia School of Management Studies includes lectures, case studies and presentations on strategic and contemporary issues, simulations through quizzes, assignments, contests, competitions and practical projects. Further enrichment is provided by way of guest lectures, workshops and seminars, wherein an intelligent awareness on current corporate issues and challenges is generated.
The faculty acts and works in close association with the students to help them gain a better understanding of current economic and non-economic issues and studies. Students are taught to comprehend live corporate situations while also grasping a more realistic approach to decision making. Industrial Visits help students gain first hand information regarding functioning of the Industry and presents the students with opportunities to plan, organize and engage in active learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
Flagship Programs
Unique programs like Let’s talk and Talent incubator give students the required exposure to enhance their employability as per the demand of industry.
•Let's Talk: This program is a unique initiative aimed at improving the oral and written communication of students through a series of structured, scientifically designed process. Apart from providing students with a platform to chisel public speaking skills, it helps in fine tuning their way of presentation through continuous drills and exercises.
•Talent Incubator: It is all about cultivating a culture of innovative leadership and fresh thinking to build a talented, diverse and collaborative group of individuals. This is a place where students are constantly challenged to think different and consider a range of possibilities or approach a problem from a new direction.
•Let’s Smile: This is a unique initiative with a goal of instilling social responsibility among management students and provide a helping hand to the marginalized people. Through a wide range of activities spanning across the academic calendar, students are given a social perspective of business.
•Thanal: It is a philanthropic students association aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized and even prevented
•AIMS: Association of Ilahia Management Students(AIMS) is an initiative to synergize the creativity and talents of the budding managers in all facets of life. ISMS organizes numerous events throughout the year under the aegis of AIMS such as national level intercollegiate management conclaves, meet the CEO lecture series, rural extension programs, festival celebrations and philanthropic activities.
•I-interact: A series of informative, productive and interactive sessions with the aim of bringing in eminent personalities from the corporate world to share their experiences.
•Agora: It is the annual intercollegiate management fest providing a platform for the brightest of the minds from various B-Schools to brainstorm, express and fulfill their quest for excellence through a multitude of intellectual and fun based contests.
•NSS: National Social Service Scheme unit is highly active with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service.
•Placement Cell: Ilahia School of Management Studies has an excellent placement cell offering placement assistance to the students. Over the years, ISMS have realized that business skills alone are not sufficient for effective leadership. What organizations require are all-round leaders who are trained to look at their organizations holistically. We try to inculcate a winning attitude and empower the students with necessary skills to take on the dynamics of a challenging corporate world. Our pedagogy is tuned to create the required development of students. Quite a number of students are offered placement in reputed firms in the past.
