The overall aim of NSS is the personal development of students through social service. It gives an extra dimension to higher education system and orient the students to community service, to create social engineers for the society, to acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude. The motto of NSS is "NOT ME BUT YOU", this itself reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service and appreciation of the other people’s point of view and also to show consideration for fellow human beings.

Digital Literacy Campaign

My Bharat- Swachhata hi Seva campaign was conducted from September 17th to October 2nd, 2024. As a Part of the programme scrap collection and cleaning campaign was done as a 3 days programme.

Anemia Awareness and Detection Camp
Ilahia College witnessed a successful Anemia Awareness and Detection Camp organized by the NSS students on August 17, 2023. The event aimed to educate participants about anemia, its symptoms, and prevention strategies. Sessions included practical hemoglobin tests and emphasized the role of a balanced diet. Esteemed attendees, including the Chairman, Principal, NSS Program Officers Arunkumar M and Shafan Salam, and dedicated volunteers, participated in the event, praising its impact on society. Participants committed to adopting healthier lifestyles and promoting regular health check-ups, highlighting the collaborative effort between NSS students, college administration, and volunteers in raising health awareness.
Special Appreciation Award
KSBTC District Hospital Aluva - Special Appreciation Award for Voluntary Blood donations during 2022-23 to NSS UNITS of ICET. Prof. Shafan Salam, NSS Programme Officer received the award from Aluva Municipal Chairperson, Anvar Sadhath, MLA and other dignitaries.
World Environment Day
On the occasion of World Environment Day, Ilahiya Engineering College under the leadership of NSS units planted fruit saplings on the campus and started the shalabhodhyanam. Chairman Er. P. H. Muneer, Principal Dr. K. A Navas, Administrative Officer, Program Officer and volunteers participated in the parade.

NSS Annual Camp (Arike)
The seven day special camp of NSS units no 199 , 580 and 327 of Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology started on 26th December 2022 Monday at Government LP School, Kudayathoor.The camp was inaugurated by Adv.Dean Kuriakose , Member of Parliament.The volunteers departed from the college at 4 pm on 26th December 2022 and reached the camp destination at around 5:30 pm. The first day involved the volunteers in various cultural activities. The camp projects started on the second day which was on 27th December 2022.The main projects of the camp involved the Kanjar Park renovation,home of homeless project which was a project to renovate a home in collaboration with the Kudayathoor Panchayat . In addition to this project, the volunteers organised plastics and paper from nearby homes as part of the Swapnakoodu project an initiative by the KTU NSS cell. Another major contribution by the volunteers was the 'Jaljeevan mission' survey which was an initiative by the Central Government which was conducted as a part to provide water connection to houses which faced water scarcity.
Plastic Free Campus Initiative
As part of plastic free campus initiative by the NSS Unit an awareness sesson is given to students and cleared the plastic waste in the campus by the students on Dec 3,2022.

Oral Cancer Awareness Webinar
As part of World Cancer Day -2022 a Webinar on Oral Cancer awareness Webinar has been conducted on 6th February 2022 in association with Stomatologists and Maxillofacial Imageologists of Kerala and KTU Care. The Resource person was Dr.Beena Varma Bsc, B.Ed, and MDS. Prof.Emeritus, Amrita School of Dentistry. It was inaugurated by Dr.Jai M.Paul Ernakulam Regional Coordinator APJA KTU NSS Cell. NSS SPECIAL CAMP(HOPE 2021-2022)
APJA KTU NSS Cell units 199 & 580 of Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology, Mulavoor organised a NSS 7 day special camping programme from 26th December 2021 to 01st January 2022. The camp was conducted at Govt. HSS Mamalakandam. The Main camp activities includes Renovate and maintain the school and its premises, Anganavady wiring works , Electric fence maintenance works and Solar recharging, Forest Plastic Free zone works in association with Forest Department, Medical Camp for Mamalakandam Tribals, Antidrug awareness campaign called Sparsham and Other works. The Camp was inaugurated by Shri. Deen Kuriakose, MP ,Idukki District. During the camp, various persons visited the camp including Mamalakandam ward member Mrs. Sreeja Biju, KTU NSS Cell Regional coordinator Dr. Jai M. Paul, Block panchayat president Mr. P A M Basheer, Development standing committee chairman Mr.Sibi K. A and also the Forest Officer Mr. Sreejith K P.
The feedbacks from the Govt. HSS Mamalakandam authorities, Anganavady authorities and Mamalakandam natives were excellent, which ensures the success of the program.

152nd Gandhi Jayanthi day celebration by NSS Units of ICET
As part of 152nd Gandhi Jayanthi day celebration, the School adoption programme was organized in association with ( Swachch Paathashala), Green Village, Clean village with APJA KTU NSS Volunteers of ICET.
We are adopted the second school from our adopted village that is cheruvattoor Govt. Model Higher Secandary school as per the request from the Principal Mr. Naufal A. before the classes are planning to reopen from Govt. side.The programme was inaugurated by Shri. P. A. M Basheer (Block Panchayath President) and felicitated by Prof. Dr. Abdul Gafur M. (Principal, ICET), Er. P. H Muneer ( Chairman, ICET), Shri. V. U Sidhiq ( Manager, ICET). The program was coordinated by NSS Programme Officers Prof. Shafan Salam and Prof. Arunkumar. M and other Volunteer Secretaries of NSS Units 199 & 580 of ICET. About 70 volunteers were participated for the program.
72nd Republic Day Celebration 2021
Dr. Faizal M. H, Vice Principal of ICET hoisted the flag on 26th January at 8.30 a.m and Mr. Arunkumar. M, NSS PO, Mr. Shafan Salam, NSS PO, Mr. Johny George, AP- Department of Mechanical Engineering, NSS Volunteers and other staff joined the flag hoisting ceremony.
Class Commencement 2021
As the government decided to reopen the colleges with the existence of covid-19, ICET deputed NSS volunteers to advice on compliance with covid-19 standards for the safety of students and teachers. Volunteers designed posters on covid-19 standards and pasted them everywhere on campus.Face shields, gloves, sanitizer and temperature checking were arranged for the volunteers at the college. This process will continue until the pandemic situation ends (Long term activity planned using entire volunteers of ICET) Two volunteers were assigned to each department in a day. The temperature of each student and teacher was checked and noted separately and also made sure that everyone was properly sanitized and wore masks.
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020
ICET students attended Hon'ble Prime Minister's Program Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020 (PPC 2020) on 20th January, 2020 at 11.00 am in Admin Block Linux Lab.ICET NSS unit monitored the smooth conduct of the program in the college.
Fit India Plogging
Fit India –Walkathon/Cyclathon/Plogging Run is an initiative by Central Govt. on January 18,2020 to motivate young minds about the importance of fitness in our day to day life. As a part of NSS Annual Special Camping Programme, NSS Units of Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology has organised Punarjjani 2018-2019 at Government Taluk Head Quarters Hospital, Adimali and Primary Health Centre, Deviyar Colony, Adimali from 20/12/2018 to 26/12/2018. Punarjani Project was inaugurated by Dr. N. V. Sathyababu, Hospital Superintended, Admimaly Taluk Hospital, The Camp was inaugurated by Hon. District Panchayat President of Idukki Smt. Kochutresya Paulose. 71 volunteers participated in the camp and an Asset of 30.5 Lakhs was recreated.
