Department Profile

   The Department of Mechanical Engineering established in the academic year 2004-2005 offers B-Tech (Mechanical Engineering)  programme with the intake capacity of 60. The B-Tech degree programme is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University during the academic year 2015-2016.

    The Department of Mechanical Engineering envisages to create a research hub engaged in contemporary research in association with industries and other institution, impart best-of-class education to the students with up-to-date curriculum and content in tune with industry requirements and foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among the students to enable a few launch their own ventures.

    The Department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The faculty members actively engage in research and constantly publish papers in National and International Journals. The faculty members use ICT (Information and Communication Technology) based teaching aids like LCD projectors and Video clips and in-situ problem-solving training, making the teaching more interactive, and thereby learning process is made easier for the students. Guest lectures and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to supplement their curriculum. 

   Mechanical Engineering Department strives for all-round excellence in students, encouraging them in all extracurricular activities. Graduates in Mechanical Engineering are working in many multi-national companies in India and abroad, and many are pursuing higher studies in premier institutions in India and abroad.
