Department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with CSI Cochin Chapter has conducted ‘ENCUESTA 22’, a Quiz Competition on 21/07/22 for Higher Secondary students and Higher Secondary pass outs at Seminar Hall, Administrative block at 10.00 am. The program started with the Silent prayer, Welcome Speech by Ms. Rosna P Haroon, SBC CSI ICET, Presidential Speech by Dr Abdul Gafur, Principal, ICET, Felicitation by Dr Sujith Kumar, HOD ICET, and Vote of Thanks by Ms. Nasreen Ali , Asst. Professor, ICET. 34 teams participated in the competition. Each team consists of 2 members. The quiz competition was conducted in 2 rounds. The first round was written test for the participants. After the test 5 teams were selected for the final round. Final round consists of 4 different rounds. The winners were selected from the final 5 teams based on their scores. Winners were awarded cash prize and certificates. The competition ended with the prize distribution by Dr Abdul Gafur, Principal, ICET at 1.00 pm.    

Department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with CSI Cochin Chapter has conducted debate competition on the topic “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE” on 08/07/22 for CSE students at Seminar Hall, CSE Block at 11.30 am. 4 teams were registered and participated on the debate. The judges for the competition were Dr. Sujithkumar (HOD CSE) , Ms. Rosna P Haroon(Assistant Professor) , Ms. Nasreen Ali(Assistant Professor). The competition was conducted in two rounds. The first round was conducted between two teams separately and two teams were selected for the final round. Mathson Beshy of S2 CSE was the moderater of the debate.The members of final winner team are Jelith Nasnin- S2 Cyber, Aisha Nasseefa M F - S2 A, Muhammad Shehansha- S6 A, Neeraja Subhash-S6 B , K M Hisham Mohammed Habeeb-S2 AI, Alan Joy-S4 B, K M Muhja Nawar-S2 AI. Dani Roby -S4 A, K M Hisham Mohammed Habeeb-S2 AI, Sona Susan – S4 B, Abdul Alim J-S2 Cyber were selected as the best spokesperson from each team.    

A seminar on Software Engineering from an industry perspective is conducted on 4^th March 2022 Friday at 11 AM for 5^th semester students. The session was handled by Mr.Manoj Thrivikraman, MD Artlumen, Cochin. During the seminar resource person explained the basic concepts, different software lifecycle models and agile technology well. Mrs. Rosna P Haroon and Mrs. Theresa Jose were the faculty coordinators of the program.                                                                     

Session received very good feedback from students.The topic was related with the subject “CST309: Management of Software systems”.

A Quiz competition was conducted in connection with National Science Day on 3^rd March 2022 at seminar hall CSE block at 12 PM. Around 30 teams registered for the competition. It was successfully coordinated by the students with a General round and a Rapid fire round. Ms. Rosna P Haroon (AP,CSE) and Ms. Theresa Jose (AP,CSE) were the staff coordinators. Prof. Dr. Abdul Gafur M., Principal, ICET distributed the prize money for the winners.

ENCUESTA 21

Department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with CSI Cochin Chapter has conducted technical quiz competition ‘Encuesta 21’ on 14/6/21 and 15/6/21 for plus one and plus two students in kerala. More than 100 students were participated in the competition. First round of the quiz was conducted on 14/6/21 at 10 am. 16 students were selected for the final round which will scheduled to be conducted on 15/6/21. From the 16 students participated in the final round Sharbel Eldhose Chandy , RMHSS Vadavucode got the first position and Aysha Diya P A ,VPKMMHSS Puthoor got the second position.

Valedictory function is arranged on 16/6/21 in virtual manner to announce the winners and congratulate all participants in the final round. In the valedictory function our principal Dr.Abdul Gafur M announces the first prize and CSE HOD announces the second prize. The first prize winner is awarded by the cash prize of Rs.3000 and second prize winner is awarded by the cash prize of Rs.2000 and all participants will get the certificates. The valedictory function ended up with the vote of thanks by Ms. Rosna P Haroon, SBC CSI.

Webinar on Artificial Intelligence 

A webinar on the topic “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ROBOTICS” was presented by Mr. K Sunil Kumar who is Currently Working as HoD – Computer Science – Sree Gokulam SNGM Arts and Science College Thuravoor. The webinar was jointly performed by the CSI chapter of department of computer science and engineering and Creopedia Business Intelligence pvt. Ltd. Ernakulum. Ms. Anju Markose from the department of computer science and Engineering, ilahia college of engineering and technology was the chief co-ordinator of the program.

The webinar was on 30.09.2020 from 3.00PM to 4PM. welcome address has been done by asst. Prof. Anju Markose and MOC was done by Afsiya of S3 CSE. Total attendee for the program was about 80. The session was interactive in nature and was very fruitful. The program run as per the schedule and finished on time. End note was given by Creopedia Business Intelligence team members. Feedback was taken after the program.

   A  webinar on the topic “Being 4.0 Ready” was conducted by Computer Society of India ICET chapter on 2^nd November 2020. Mr. Nebu Pulickal ,R & D Engineer,OPZET Solution Pvt.Ltd , Cochin addressed the gathering.  He delivered the things regarding the industrial standards to be adopted in the recent working environment. All the final year students have attended the program. Students are motivated to do their final year projects by adopting the industry standards. The programme was very much useful for the students who are going to be the professional in the near future.

A webinar on the topic “Bridging the Gap Between Education and Industry” was presented by Mr. Joseph Job Chief Technology  Officer Spectrum Softech Solutions Pvt.Ltd Cochin. The webinar was jointly performed by the CSI chapter of department of computer science and engineering and Spectrum Softtech Solutions Pvt Ltd. Ernakulum. Ms. Anju Markose from the department of computer science and Engineering, ilahia college of engineering and technology was the chief co-ordinator of the program.

  The webinar was on 14.10.2020 from 3.00PM to 4PM. Total attendee for the program was about 62. The session was interactive in nature and was very fruitful. The program run as per the schedule and finished on time. End note was given by Spectrum Softtech Solutions Pvt Ltd team members. Feedback was taken after the program.
