    The Department of Food Technology, established in 2024 under the affiliation of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, to meet the evolving demands of the food industry, this program combines scientific principles with practical applications in food processing, safety, and innovation. Through a comprehensive curriculum, students gain expertise in areas such as food chemistry, microbiology, food engineering, quality control, and food product development. Our experienced faculty, comprising industry professionals and researchers, is committed to providing students with the latest knowledge and hands-on experience essential for success in the field. With access to modern laboratories and facilities, students have opportunities for experiential learning, research projects, and industry internships. Graduates of our program emerge as skilled food technologists equipped to address the challenges of the food industry and contribute to the development of safe, nutritious, and sustainable food products.

     The candidate should have completed their Plus Two with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/biology as the main subjects with minimum of 45 percentage of marks from a recognized board.

   A graduate in B.Tech in food technology scope gets recruited in various organizations such as Food Corporation of India, Public distribution firms and Central Warehousing Corporation. The job titles for Food Technology Engineer include:Food Technologist, Quality Manager, Nutritional Therapist, Product/Process, Development Scientist, Technical Brewer and much more.
