In the Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Facilities for carrying out Laboratory coursework & experimental research work for under graduate students. Following experimental studies and testing are carried out at the environmental engineering laboratory.

LIST OF EXPERIMENTS - ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING LAB

• Analysis of  physical characteristics viz. colour, turbidity, and conductivity of a given water sample and to determine its suitability for drinking purpose.
• Analysis of  chemical characteristics of a given water sample viz. pH, acidity, alkalinity for assessing its potability.
• Analysis of  chemical characteristics of a given water sample viz. chlorides and sulphates content to assess its suitability for drinking purpose and building construction. 
• Determination of the Dissolved Oxygen content of a given water sample for checking its potability. 
• Determination of the available chlorine in a sample of bleaching powder
• Analysis of the various types of solids in a given water sample.
• Determination of BOD of a given wastewater sample.
• Determination of COD of a given wastewater sample.
• Determination of optimum dosage of alum using Jar test. 
• Determination of Nitrates / Phosphates in a water sample. 
• Determination of iron content of a water sample. 
• Determination of MPN content in water sample and assess the suitability for potability.
