- Roles of Coordinator and Stake Holders
Role of the Coordinator
The following are the roles and responsibilities carried by coordinator IQAC:
- To coordinate the dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education
- To coordinate the documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement
- To coordinate the quality-related activities of the institution
- To coordinate the timely and efficient execution of the decisions of IQAC committee.
Roles of Stake Holders
The roles/duties of main stake holders such as students, Alumni, Faculty and college management are indicative in nature as given below:
- Role of Students
- Students are required to abide by norms, rules, guidelines related to discipline, punctuality, and regularity.
- They have to meet the benchmarks to maintain good attendance, results and to develop required presentation skills.
- Students to provide their feedback to remove any deficiencies in the course curriculum, teaching-learning process.
- Role of Alumni
- The alumni should maintain good communication with faculty and the institution by providing market feedback, technology trends, and job opportunities.
- They will maintain goodwill of the college.
- Role of Faculty
- Faculty should maintain discipline according to the institutions rules and guidelines
- Faculty should ensure quality teaching and learning processes.
- Role of Management
- Embed quality as an important component of vision/mission of the institution
- Faculty is encouraged to attend national and international conference and workshops to update their knowledge and skills.
- Faculty is supported financially to go for higher studies and research.
- Set up necessary empowered committees for maintaining / assuring highest levels of quality of Teaching, Infrastructure etc..
- Provide support in terms of infrastructure, manpower and financial support

- To a heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement and facilitate internalization of the quality culture.
- To the enhancement and integration among the various activities of the institution and institutionalize many good practices.

- To act as a change agent in the institution.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology, Muvattupuzha, organized an Awareness Session on Outcome Based Education (OBE) for the faculty members for upcoming NBA preparations organized by IQAC ICET and led by Dr. (Prof.) K. Gopakumar, former Dean Academics, KTU.
The session aimed to familiarize faculty with the principles and practices of OBE, focusing on the systematic approach to designing curriculum, teaching, learning, and assessment processes to ensure the achievement of desired program outcomes. Resource persons explained the significance of mapping Course Outcomes (COs), Program Outcomes (POs), and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs), as well as the role of continuous assessment and feedback in improving the quality of education.
