The Department offers undergraduate programmes in B.Tech. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) and B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) under the affiliation of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The Programmes started in the year 2021 under the department of Computer Science and Engineering and started to function as a separated department in the year 2022.
Today’s competitive era demands creativity and innovation to be imbibed in the professionals at the under graduate level. The Department has adopted modern practices to enrich the thought process of students with creativity and innovation. The goal of the department is to nurture the academic as well as personal excellence of our students by providing student centric learning, industry exposure and outstanding career opportunities.
Backbone of the department comprises a crew of well experienced, highly qualified and dedicated team who are always enthusiastic to update their knowledge. The department aims to buildup a community where the actionable insights and cutting-edge technology turn into innovative products towards solving real-world problems.

Roles and Responsibilities
- The Department Advisory Committee interacts and maintains liaison with key stakeholders.
- The committee is chaired by the Head of the Department (HOD) who reviews the reports and monitors the progress of the programme.
- The committee develops and recommends new or revised goals and objectives of the programme.
- Reviews and analyzes the gap between curriculum and industry requirements and provides necessary feedback and action plans.

About Mentoring System
Mentoring is a systematic process focusing on student–staff adviser relationship for improving academic performance, career growth, and human values. Two staff members are allotted for each batch as mentors. The students can freely and frankly discuss their academic as well as personal problems with their mentors.
Roles and Responsibilities of Mentor
- The mentor should monitor the performance of students in internal and university examinations and also observe their behaviour.
- Students should take prior permission from the mentor before absenting themselves from classes.
- Students must submit a leave note to the mentor for any absence (day / days).
- Students should meet their mentor whenever they are called for mentoring sessions.
- The mentor must meet their wards at least once in a month to review academic and personal progress.
